Edgemont, Pennsylvania – January 28, 2016 – Peak Beam Systems, Inc. is excited to announce that the Company’s Maxa Beam Searchlight is now available with a rugged remote-controlled positioner.

The fully integrated Remotely Articulated Illumination Device (RAID) is a lightweight, compact system featuring a 12,000,000 CandlePower Maxa Beam Searchlight and a rugged, joystick-controlled positioner manufactured by Moog Sensor and Surveillance Systems.

The RAID System is designed to enhance situational awareness, eliminate blind areas, improve safety, and support search and rescue missions. The system also acts as a non-lethal weapon to detect, warn, and deter threats at ranges over 2000 meters. The RAID is operated through a simple user interface and features rapid “return to home” automatic positioning, providing the ability for an operator to quickly respond to a threat in emergency situations.

The Maxa Beam Searchlight is a high intensity Xenon spotlight with an output of 12,000,000 CandlePower. The searchlight features three light intensity settings and a powerful user-adjustable strobe setting. The RAID’s customized Quick-Mount Maxa Beam Searchlight offers mil. spec. metal connectors, a waterproof housing, and motorized beam adjustment that allows the operator to remotely vary the beam width from a 1° spot to a 40° flood.
